Blizzard yesterday had a surprising announcement: They have partnered with Scholastic, one of the world's biggest publisher and distributors of children's books, to create World of Warcraft: Traveler, a new book series that introduces younger audiences to new characters and events within Azeroth and the Warcraft lore. The video above was released with the announcement, talking about the plans for the series, along with some breathtaking artwork for the books. Blizzard also grabbed some big talent for the series, with writer Greg Weisman joining the project as the author for the series. Greg has worked on many different projects, including the Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Young Justice television series. The series will follow a young protagonist, the son of one of the greatest explorers in Azeroth, as he must traverse the landscapes of Azeroth, meeting new and exciting creatures and people, in order to find his way back home. The series is expected to start in November 2016.
This series looks like more great content from Blizzard, especially for younger people, but what do you think of this announcement? Let us know in the comments, and keep coming back to Rocket Punch for more great geek and gaming content!
