Looks like we will be able to experience the "magic" of VR sooner than we think.

In a post on their official blog, The Oculus team has announce that everyone will be able to begin preorders for the Oculus Rift on Wednesday, January 6th, 2015 at 8:00AM PT. The post also states that Oculus found Palmer Luckey will be hosting an AMA on Reddit on the same day at 6:00 PM PT, to help answer questions everyone will no doubt have about the VR headset and its' launch.

While this is some good news to hear, as it shows that the age of virtual reality may be here sooner that we think, there were some big details missing from the post. We still do not know the exact launch date for the Oculus, just to date people can preorder the device, and we also still have no information on the price. I'm sure that some of these details will be answered when preorders go live, but it seems interesting that there has been no official discussion on those before preorders are available, especially with them being right around the corner.

For people that do intend to preorder, however, there is some good news in that you will receive two games with the Oculus Rift: Lucky's Tale by Playful, and EVE: Valkyrie by CCP, so that is a nice incentive to jump in.
