New Game Releases: Week of January 12, 2016

Welcome back to the second drop of the New Game Releases for January 12, 2016! The list this week looks pretty surprising, considering the amount of great titles are are getting this early in the new year.From donning the Assassin's cloak once again, to blasting enemies with telekinetic powers, to seeing some great experiences being released on more platforms, this week definitely showcases some excellent and diverse title for every type of gamer! But enough talk, let's get to what is coming out: 

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India (PS4, XB1, PC) - January 12th 

Following the first episode, which let you explore Ming Dynasty China as Shao Jun, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is set in 1841, when tensions are coming to a head between the Sikh Empire and East India Company. In the midst of this struggle, Arbaaz Mir (from Assassin’s Creed: Brahman) must protect his friends and lover while trying to recover a mysterious Assassin item that was stolen by the Templars.

Gemini: Heroes Reborn (XB1) - January 12th

Using a variety of superpowers such as telekinesis and time travel, Cassandra must battle her way through and enemy-filled underground facility called The Quarry in order to save her abducted friend and solve a family mystery.

Gone Home: Console Edition (PS4, XB1) - January 12th

Investigate the Greenbriar family's home. Discover the story of what's happened to them. Go home again.

Tharsis (PS4, PC) - January 12th

A mysterious signal originating from the Tharsis region of Mars set us on a frantic mission. Who sent it? And why? Impossible questions, but in them lie the key to humanity’s survival. That Dragon, Cancer (PC, Mac, Android) - January 12th

An immersive narrative videogame that retells Joel Green’s 4-year fight against cancer through about two hours of poetic, imaginative gameplay that explores faith, hope and love.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (PC) - January 15th

Dragon's Dogma:Dark Arisen is an expansion and re-release of Dragon's Dogma containing all the original content, plus an entire new questline and region "Bitterblack Isle", plus all the original DLC content, as well as additional skill upgrades, monsters, weapons and armour.

Oxenfree (XB1, PC) - January 15th

Oxenfree is a single player game that’s equal parts coming-of-age tale and supernatural thriller. You play as Alex, a bright, rebellious teenaged girl who brings her new stepbrother Jonas to an overnight party on a decommissioned military island. The festivities are framed by a dangerous sneak to a forbidden beach, celebrating with friends and navigating prickly situations with enemies.
